Harold Leading the CrewVOW Needs Crew Leaders!

Are you looking to give back to our outdoor community while having a good time? Then become a volunteer crew leader with VOW. Work with like minded people who love the outdoors, enjoy free food and drink, and gain valuable work experience.

Crew leaders are expected to follow our three rules in order of importance:

1. Be safe,
2. Have fun, and
3. Get some work done.

Responsibilities for the position will include giving safety talks, leading groups of between 5 and 20 volunteers, and ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and productive volunteering experience. Crew leaders will also be expected to lead a crew at least once a month and take part in First Aid and Crew Leader trainings.

Depending on experience, the position will entail two to three weeks of mentoring in which the volunteer will assist our more "seasoned" crew leaders. We also love to train youth to take part and gain valuable leadership experience.

We have a variety of projects in the city parks, the I-90 corridor, and on the Iron Goat Trail. Work parties typically take place Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 AM until 4 PM, although there are exceptions. Crew leaders are encouraged to focus on one project, but should feel free to explore what interests them most.

Join us and give back to the outdoor community!
